The Support Children and Afghan Women Needs Organization (SCAWNO) was established in 2008 in Kabul, Afghanistan, by the late Ms. Arifa Sultani. The organization's founding was a response to the devastating consequences of decades of war, displacement, and societal challenges in Afghanistan. Initially focused on supporting vulnerable street-working children and widows in the Kart-e-Sakhi district, SCAWNO has grown into a nationally recognized organization dedicated to empowering disadvantaged groups through education, vocational training, health, nutrition, protection, and humanitarian assistance. Over the years, SCAWNO has positively impacted thousands of lives, enabling children, women, and families to rebuild their futures.
